We are proposing that our Christmas Luncheon be on Friday December 4 at the Leonda where a minimum of 50 is required, all with social distancing and the correct health etiquettes. Leonda has assured us that all protocols will be in place.
Wayne Ross sent out notice of this luncheon earlier in the week. We have only now just had confirmation that ‘one Test wonder’ John Hastings (pictured above) is available to speak to us on the day.
The cost of the luncheon is $100 for members and $110 for non members. To go ahead we would need to know today-tomorrow please if you intended on coming and if you were to bring a guest. The Leonda is easily reached by car or public transport which goes directly outside the front door.
So far we have just 19 and the minimum required by Leonda is 50.
As you know we have kept the ACS flag flying with a series of terrific Zoom sessions and as part of this planned luncheon we would also be handing out our awards, which we normally do at our annual dinner.
It should be a great event but only if enough of our members and friends want it.
Can you please email me (Wayne Ross) ([email protected]) back ASAP just so we can confirm numbers and see if a 2020 luncheon is possible… it will be fun to be together again
Otherwise we aim to meet as a group once again in February 2021.
Thanks for your support of the ACS. We have more than 300 members and are proud of our standing as the central band of direct cricket lovers in the country.
With every good wish to you all
(president since 2006)
