The ACS was fortunate enough to be able to interview Jenny Thompson, who has been journeying throughout the world, playing, writing and enjoying cricket. She’s visited 40 odd countries and has some amazing stories – who would have believed Brazil has a thriving Cricket scene, let alone Argentina and Japan.

In this interview we get to hear some of those story and about Jenny’s passion for using cricket as a medium for inclusivity and breaking down boundaries.

In her own words: “I’m Jenny Thompson and I’m playing and writing about women’s cricket across the world. Come on tour with me as I uncover how cricket’s enjoyed by, and empowering for, women across the globe – as well as seeing what else can be done. A former Assistant Editor with ESPNCricinfo, I love all the ways cricket is enjoyed! Along the way, I aim to become the world’s most-travelled female cricketer. I’m also raising funds for The LBW Trust, a cricket-related charity who help educate young people living in poverty. The tour kicks off in Hong Kong on April 1st, the first of up to six legs, and should complete by December 2024.”
