The Australian Cricket Society is again fielding a team in the Celebration of Cricket Carnival in the Barossa Valley next year the same week as the Echuca Carnival.
Barossa: 26 caters for Over 60 and O70s players who were missed selection in club teams for Echuca. The week sees 8 teams (maximum 10) playing 4 “friendlies” against like-minded veteran cricket/ wine lovers.
With games at some exotic cricketing locations, the week embraces the delights of the Barossa Valley including after the game celebrations and the cellar door experience led by ACS wine connoisseur John Smith.
The ACS has committed to fielding an appropriate team of cricket/ wine lovers for the week. Should you have been overlooked by your club in teams for Echuca, Barossa: 26 is there to pick up the pieces.
Plans for the 4 game Carnival (March 16 – 20) include a rest day on March 18 with the Meet n Greet (and ACS team dinner) at the Vine Inn on March 15. Details of the Finale Dinner on March 19 at the Tanunda MCG (TBC). The cost for the 4 game Carnival is expected to be $220 per player.
