Our 50th Annual Dinner at Kooyong on Friday night, 10 March promises to be a stellar event with MIKE HUSSEY and DAVID HOBSON as our joint guests of honour.
MIKE HUSSEY was a late blooming champion who averaged 50 in Test cricket despite not playing the first of his 73 Tests until he was 30. Mike reached his first 1000 runs in Test cricket in a record 166 days and in 2006-07 averaged 100-plus in Australia’s 5-0 Ashes thrashing of England. He was captain of the Sydney Thunder for its inaugural Big Bash title in January.
DAVID HOBSON is Australia’s quintessential tenor and one of Australia’s best-known operatic, concert and stage performers. A Carols by Candelight favourite, he is a good friend of the ACS and last appeared for us on Neil Harvey Celebration day in 2015. He will be appearing with his long-time MD David Cameron.
Tickets are $125 and $135 from WAYNE ROSS, the ACS secretary at info@australiancricketsociety.com.au or phone him on 0416 983 888
