It is with great sadness that the Australian Cricket Society notes the death of Hon. Tom Roper, a long time ACS member (since 2006) and supporter.
Although wheelchair-bound he made every effort to attend Society functions – the latest being the Celebration of the Ashes and Test Cricket with Bryce McGain at the end of May.
Tom was a key member of the Cain and Kirner Victorian Governments, great bloke and friend to many ACS current members. He will be sorely missed.
